What is the best character/story for Dragon Age: Origins?

READ THIS

Ok, I have had Dragon Age: Origins for about 4-5 months now. And in this period of time I have never finished a story and always get up getting killed anywhere I go on the map when you are building up the army. I always get past the Redcliffe scene until WHAM! I get slaughtered by the next town.

So far I have been to Denerim (got killed in the big building you go through with all the thieves and crooks, I honestly did not know how to get into the Elven city.) AND I have gotten killed at the Redcliffe Castle (I beat it on a Mage character but not a warrior) AND I have gotten killed in the Fade (that was my first character that was a Rogue that I grew abilities poorly and I am screwed).

I am a girl ( I honestly don't know if that has to deal with anything haha) and I always screw up! So if I could just have a pro player to tell me what I should do with my story that would be helpful. I'm asking if you could tell me the best type of character, as in Warrior, Rogue, or Mage. And I am asking you where I should go when I build the army. As in which places I should go first to level up and make my way up to harder things, such as the Fade. And also to know the best party players I should have around with me.

I always want to have a relationship with Alistair (getting married) and not have him dying at the end, so for that of course I have to be a Human Noble.

If you read this and answered my question, I thank you for your patience and thank you for answering!!!!What is the best character/story for Dragon Age: Origins?
Well you pretty much said that you want to be a human noble so that limits you to being either a warrior or a rogue so if you like charging in and taking most of the damage be a warrior but if you like letting others run in and take the heat then be a rogue.

The most powerful character in this game is a mage so personally I feel the best party is a rogue for unlocking chests and disarming traps, a warrior for tanking, and two mages to deal heavy damage and heal members of your party. If you decide to be a rogue take Alistair as your tank as he is already prepped as one but if you decide to be the warrior take Leliana or Zevran as your rogue and either way take Morrigan and Wynne as your mages.

Personally I do the mage tower first so that I can get Wynne who is already a healer which is good to keep your party members from dieing and once she has revival she can bring people back to life. Also you get more attribute points once in the fade. The fade isn't really all that hard its just hard to navigate until you get used to it and you can always turn the difficulty down.

More suggestions make sure to set up your party members tactics and don't be afraid to control your other party members and to switch back and forth between them when in a fight. Also really look into enemies weaknesses, runes, and the spells the mages have so that you can do the most damage to the enemies. Also read about the weapons and armor you can equip on each of your party members and equip the most appropriate ones for whatever area you're going to.What is the best character/story for Dragon Age: Origins?
because I am bored and big gaming nerd I will anser. The fastest way is just lower game difficulty. Second is leving up you and ur party the right way. Alistair always should be tank aka lots of defense and health. Have one wizard in group for healing, ur character should usually be the offense character focusing mostly on damage. Warrior is best class imo because can do damage and take it.Learn duel wielding and bersker is best combo super fast and powerful. As for levels I always do dwarfs because its longest and hardest boss, so its easir to kill them low level because not as strong, then fade because they level up ur attributes and get a healing mage there. Then elves in the wild because really easy compared to other two and redcliff last. What is the best character/story for Dragon Age: Origins?
im a girl too, and ive played this game about a million times. id have to say the mage is the most able to kill multiple people at once, but if ur looking to be queen...stick with human noble. But, if u are a mage, u can harden alistair and have a secret affair with him when he does become king. it's almost as good as being queen i guess.

start at hogwarts first, to pick up wynne early in the game. then go to redcliffe, then the brecilian forest, then orzammar. always save orzammar for last cuz it is the longest quest and it most certainly is a *****. especially that damned broodmother.

usually, i take leliana/zevran (whoever is the most capable in fighting and best lockpicker in the group), along with sten/alistair (i like to switch it up a bit. theyre both good tanks.) and finally i choose wynne cuz shes a healer and probably the most useful person on the team. plus, you could make her get the haste spell to speed things up.

dog is useless. and morrigan...well, u could take her along if YOU decide to take wynne's place as the witch doctor. but i dont really think her spirit spells are any good.
You should be able to beat the game with any kind of character and any party setup. I think your problem is your play style more than anything else. You need to look up some guides for your class and specializations. There are plenty of very thorough ones out there. Also learn how to use the crafting system as well as tactics. The game almost beats itself if you have enough health potions and set up all your companions correctly. If you want to romance Alistair and be Queen go ahead and start a Human Noble. Warrior is the easiest classes to play, I suggest you start there. Also set the difficulty down to casual if you are having any trouble.
