What is the most effective way of handling weapons in Dragon Age: Origins?

My character's strength will probably be the highest attribute, and I plan to give my character massive armor sets. Also, my character's class will be a warrior. I want to be able to do a good amount of damage, but also be able to defend myself well. Which way of handling weapons will be most effective: sword and shield, two-handed, or dual-weilding?What is the most effective way of handling weapons in Dragon Age: Origins?
It is depend on you.

Which one do you like best ?

Two Handed Highest hit points, but slowest.

Sword and Shield. It has medium hit points with medium speed.

Dual-Weilding, fast, but lowest hit points of all three.

It doesn't matter which one really, but if you're going to be warrior, i suggest dual-wielding.

because it has high hit points and have one of the best weapons. Ageless, from Ozammar's royal palace.

the attributes i recommend for this build is.

50 strength so you can hit higher, 30 in dexterity at least so you won't miss much, and put some in cunnings just so you can get the persuasion. to 18 i think

nothing in willpower and magic, Although willpower increase your stamina. so if you really want you can add some points into that.

constitution is for health, add at least to 20 so you can survive longer before hitting that potions.

although i prefer mage over all because bioware always make their mages the best in almost all of their game. there's also a saying forgot from where but it's, "you will most likely lose if you don't have at least a mage in your squad."

have fun man !!!

I did ^^What is the most effective way of handling weapons in Dragon Age: Origins?
I did two handed weapons with my warriors because you can have fun with dual-weilding with the rogue so if you want to experience all aspects of the game and do damage then go 2H with warrior.

Also 2H suits strength more, where DW suits a character with more dexterity. Don't bog yourself down with too much armor because it will increase fatigue and cost more stamina to use moves and over a long battle you will lose a lot of damage output if you keep running out of stamina.

Do not use sword and shield or big armor if you want to do damage, only use these if you want to be an untouchable tank ; )
