How to import my dragon age character into the golem DLC?

I destroyed origins and awakening and today i decided to get witch hunt and the new golem DLC, but the problem is i cant import my badass awakening character? is there something i have to do? please help a gamer out lol.

before playing the Golem and Witch Hunt DLC, there are choices for you to play with an imported character from origins or awakening or create a new character
