What's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?

I'm new to this game, I just had it yesterday. Can you guys give me some Idea on which character shall I build?What's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?
The mage is very powerful with a lot of spells. The rogue has some good abilities. The warrior is straight forward get a big weapon and smash everything. I finished with the rogue, found the warrior boring, and the mage good. They claim that the race and sex affect the game but not really. There are a few times that it gives slightly different dialogue but nothing that really changes the situation or game.What's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?
well it depends on what you like in real life and how you biult your guy in all other rpg games rogues arnt good fighters but they can be if you take the time to upgrade em they arnt good with heavy weps though and you have a stealth ability to let you sneak up on em and back stab em on the other hand warriors are great with heavy weps and armor and they have alot power behind em and if you just like charging in battle thats good i personaly hate mages in the game cause they always kill me but they are a good character to play they can weaken enimies hela yopur party shape shift into animals but they arnt good with direct combat or health either so make your choiceWhat's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?
a mage is the best. all the other classes are so weak and boring. mages are so overpowered in this game. any build with them is awsome.
