Can you have more than one created character in Dragon Age: Origins?

I was wondering if it was possible to make a new character in DA:O while keeping your first character.Can you have more than one created character in Dragon Age: Origins?
save the game under one filename and then reload whenever you want to go back and play that character. (for pc, unsure of console)Can you have more than one created character in Dragon Age: Origins?
Yah but its two different storys, you can have one human warrior save and another elf...whatever save. But there not intergrated into the SAME save.Can you have more than one created character in Dragon Age: Origins?
If you make them on seperate profiles, yes.
