Is there any way to keep Bethany Hawke in your party for the whole campaign in Dragon Age 2?

I am on my third playthrough of Dragon Age 2 now. I am playing as a Rogue where on my previous 2 I was a mage. I was wondering if there is any way to keep your sister, Bethany, in your party/ team for the whole game. I want to know because I think she is a very good character and if Bioware left this option out then shame on them.Is there any way to keep Bethany Hawke in your party for the whole campaign in Dragon Age 2?
The loss of Bethany/Carver is a scripted event. The only control you have over it is whether they die, or if they become a Circle mage/Templar or a Grey Warden. Is there any way to keep Bethany Hawke in your party for the whole campaign in Dragon Age 2?
No, she's gone by act 2 no matter what you do. But, if she doesn't die in the deep roads she will fight with you in the final battle. In some ways it makes sense to the story that you lose your sibling, but I agree that it would have been great to keep them the whole game.

Dragon Age Awakening???360?

is there a way you can get your character from dragon age origins over to awakening if you have awakening on a disc and not a download????Dragon Age Awakening???360?
Should be an option when you put the disc in to select your old character. It also explains how to do it in the instruction manual if memory serves. I know when I bought the disc I was able to load my original character.

Am i too late to save both the Arl's son and wife from dragon age?

I am replaying Dragon age and right after Lothering, I went straight to the Circle tower to get Wynn because she was one of my favorite characters then I went to Redcliffe and now I think I cannot save both the Arl's son and his lame wife. Is there a way or no?? haha dam I don't want to redo all of the mage's circle andddd all of Redcliffe.Am i too late to save both the Arl's son and wife from dragon age?
If you finished the circle part in favor of the mages, you can go grab them. You'll get a bunch of different ways to proceed, too.Am i too late to save both the Arl's son and wife from dragon age?
You have 3 ways to get save the arl. 1 way is to just kill connor. the 2nd way is to kill isolde. the third way is to go to the circle of magi and if you have become friends of the mages you can get them to come and use lyrium to get you or a mage into the fade.

I want to start a new game in Dragon Age Origins but I'm afraid my Awakenings game might get messed up?

I just beat Dragon Age Origins and I've been playing Awakenings but I'm worried if I make a new character for DAO that my imported character for Awakenings might get messed up. Is it okay for me to play a new game for DAO without me having to worry if my save file for Awakenings is okayI want to start a new game in Dragon Age Origins but I'm afraid my Awakenings game might get messed up?
It will be fine, Dragon Age creates a new save file for the new character automatically, so you just pick the old character again when you want to play Awakenings.

Hope this helps!

Dragon Age: Origins 鈥?Witch Hunt DLC How do transfer the new items to my original save?

I have just played through Dragon Age: Origins and so I decided to get the DLC Witch Hunt. I played that and got a bunch of gear but now I can't figure out how to take that character and put it back in my original game. I also started a new character for Dragon Age: Origins and I would like to put that character through the DLC and then go back and play the rest of the game. Is that possible?

When I hit resume or replay my DLC character it just makes me watch the credits again. Is it even possible to reuse that character after you beat the DLC? The description made it seem like you could.

Thank you.Dragon Age: Origins 鈥?Witch Hunt DLC How do transfer the new items to my original save?
No, Witch Hunt takes place after Origins and all of the other Origins downloads, so you can't take your character back through the rest.

  • Can i start dragon age over again using my same character?

No, unlike the similar Mass Effect games, there is no New Game Plus mode that you can take a character from a previous game again from the beginning in Dragon Age Origins. In this game, starting a new game is just that: starting a new game. Can i start dragon age over again using my same character?

yes, it's not like Mass Effect where you can take ur charecter from the previous game. Can i start dragon age over again using my same character?
YOu cannot start over with the same character. However if you get the new expansion you can continue the storyline with a character you created or create a brand new high lvl char.

Its kind of a pain..the only way i have found is going to your main xbox dashboard, on the My Xbox tab, scroll all the way over to Settings. Go down to Memory. Click Games. Dragon Age: Origins, then click on each saved game individually, then you just simply click Delete. kind of time consuming and a total pain.

Dragon Age Origins Pink Flames on Character and Party?

It's either flames or some kind of aura. How the hell do I get rid of it?Dragon Age Origins Pink Flames on Character and Party?
Some sustained abilities have their visual effects even out of combat. There's two solutions: turn off the sustained abilities outside of combat, or install a mod. If you choose the former, keep in mind you can set the activation of a sustained ability as a tactic. If you set the trigger to "Any", then they will turn on that ability as soon as enemies approach. If you want to install a mod, head over to http://www.dragonaxenexus.com/Dragon Age Origins Pink Flames on Character and Party?
Go through your party turning off their sustained abilities, so that you loose their bonuses as well. You may also have to change the characters tactics so they won't activate the sustained ability and give you the bonuses.

Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?

For some reason, I can't stick to just one character and I keep creating new ones. The farthest I have gotten is to about halfway into ACT 2 and then I make a new character. Once that character gets through most of ACT 1, I make a new one. What are things that I could do stick with one character? I would very much like to actually beat this game.

Also, I like all character classes so the problem isn't "because I don't like being a rogue."Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
Buy the black emporium DLC. It gives you access to a mirror that lets you change your appearance whenever you want and potions that let you reset your points/abilities or the points/abilities of your companions. If you ever decide you don't like your character you can just go make the changes you want without losing any game progress.Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
I find a 2 handed warrior and a mage to be fun. The problem I found with DA2 is that it is veryyyyyy boring in the beginning I think you should just stick with it longer and it will start to pick up and get funner.

Another reason being that you will find a lot of cooler weapons, armor and items the farther you get.Dragon Age 2: How do I stick to one character to play through?
Well I would turn up the difficulty so it's a little harder so u tend to keep playing and not get bored because your runnin them over with mad skills and I found that the Mage is much more fun to play as because if kind is hated and u can blast foes away with man magic attacks u just go to get into it man I hope this helps

How can I beat the shade after the Elven ritual in Dragon Age: Origins?

I'm really stuck in Dragon Age Origins at the part where you have to beat the shades in the Lower Brecilian Ruins. My party is made up of my character (a warrior), Morrigan, Alistair, and the dog. My party can't kill even one of the monsters. Does anyone have any advice? How can I beat the shade after the Elven ritual in Dragon Age: Origins?
Your best bet is to group together on one of them at a time that way they die easily also if you have health potions use them do not worry about how many you use they can always be gathered again. Have morrigan use some more area spells to so she can hit more than one enemy like tempest or blizzard if you got them. Also if you are having major trouble try to lower the diffuculty or wait until you gain a few levels.

First adjust the brightness and contrast on your monitor. The character creation screen is going to be dark no matter what, but your monitor settings could be part of the problem. If that doesn't work go in to the options menu and adjust your graphics settings. If you are only able to play with low settings there may not be much you can do.

  • Question about Dragon Age importing?

Okay so i'm not sure how exactly to word this question but I have Dragon age Origins and bought most of the DLCS recently. I have finished dragon age origins and i imported my character to Awakening and I'm currently playing Dragon Age Awakening. After i finish Awakening what do i play next? Do i import my dragon age origins character or do i import my awakening character? If i import my awakening character does all my decision from origins also carry on? Thanks for looking.Question about Dragon Age importing?
The only DLC that you can play with an imported Awakening character are Golems of Amgarrak and Witch Hunt. You just import your last autosave before facing the mother. Some of your decisions will carry over in Witch Hunt, such as your relationship status with Morrigan. I've never played golems, so I don't know what decisions carry over.

You will also be able to import your decisions from DAO, the expansion, and all the DLC in to Dragon Age 2 when it is released.

In Dragon Age does the main character fight with the dragon?

There are two full on dragon fights in the game and both are optional. One is during the Sacred Ashes questline, when you are going through the ruins to get to the Urn. You get the option to fight the Dragon at the top of the mountain by using the gong.

The second is as part of Morrigan's companion quest. Without giving much away, you basically have to kill a dragon for her. Again, this is not essential to the main storyline.

Only the Sacred Ashes dragon counts for the X360 Achievement/PS3 Trophy for Dragonslayer.

EDIT: Oops forgot about the big bad boss dragon lol. Yeah the archdemon dragon (boss of the drakspawn) is the endgame boss. And he's solid.

  • Dragon Age Origins: What do you think of the new characters coming out?

I'm curious to hear what you got to say for the new characters coming out. The mage Anders is def my favorite :) He kind of reminds me of Alistair. Now that we have a male mage... I can go back to leveling my defender or rogue. (Once I get my 360 back) Woot! I wish there were more characters and more males though, oh well. I can't wait :) so excited! I think Anders is the replacement Alistair since he's not returning as a companion. I also kind of like Sigrun, she seems like a cool character and has an interesting back story. If you've read the pennyarcade cartoon for Awakening it looks like a male rogue is going to be the final companion.Dragon Age Origins: What do you think of the new characters coming out?
I think they look ok but I would prefer it if the characters for dragon age origins were back in it.

Dragon Age main Character tank guide?

Hello, i made a warrior character Sword and shield, iam on lvl 10 and still havent choose any specialization. My str is =42 and dex=26 .What do u think is the best specialization for a good tank? and where would i put the rest of my stats in dex or cons? And what armor do u prefer Jugger or wade superior Dragonbone set.Dragon Age main Character tank guide?
If you're going to be a tank, then Champion is the best specialization to choose. Reaver works to if you'd prefer that. Once you get your strength to 42, which it appears you already have done, you want to put the rest of your points in dexterity for increase of defense. You could also increase your constitution to 20 if you'd like, but that isn't exactly a necessity.

What is the best armor for an elf in dragon age origins?

I have been playing dragon age origins for a little while now and im hooked! My first character is a male dalish elf. What is the best armor for this type of charater and what weapons would be best for him? If you can attach any runes to the weapons, which ones do you suggest to apply to the weapons?

If you can also help give the location of everything, that would be awesome as well :)What is the best armor for an elf in dragon age origins?
The best armours in the game are bought at Wade's emporium in Denerim.

Depending on wether you're a rogue or a warrior, different armours are better.

The best armours for warriors are:

1 Evon the great's mail, which has a 10% dodge, and a lot of stat boosts. (only chest piece, and found in Wade's emporium, but only sold after completing one or two of the main quests)

2 Juggernaut, found in the brecillian forest (you have to do a elven ritual and find all the tombstones)

3 Wade's superior armours, after getting six drake scales and a dragon scale, you can make these armors. BE CAREFUL, as you must pay extra for all of them (they are free normally) or you won't get the superior ones. The heavy armor set will give the item set bonus for Evon the great's mail.

4 Effort - a very difficuklt piece search all around the draven places and get dog to look for the helmet in the deep roads.

The best for Rogue is either:

1 the felons coat, in the store as well and only sold after 1 or two of the main quests. this in my opinion is the best.

2 shadow of the empire, is found in orzammar

these items dont give item set bonuses, but there is a lot of other very good rogue gear, and a lot of them can be found in the party camp.

    The best weapons

are the keening blade, the best longsword, found in the unbound quest in denerim, the rose's thorn is the best dagger, found in orzammar, far song is the best bow, but you can only get it if the blacksmith in redcliff dies (he is replaced by another guy)What is the best armor for an elf in dragon age origins?
If you have the blood dragon armor DLC it's one of the best sets in the game. Otherwise the Juggernaut armor is my favorite because it makes you very spell resistant. This armor is found at the grave sites in the Brecilian forest, you have to fight a demon at each site to get each piece. But, the last piece is in the ruins you visit during the quest to find Witherfang. You have to complete a ritual and fight some ghosts. There are walkthroughs online you can look up.

As for weapons sword and shield or dual wield are better than two handed. The best sword is starfang if you have the Warden's Keep DLC. Otherwise Topsider's Honor which is in the Deep Roads. What is the best armor for an elf in dragon age origins?
If you have Dragon armor that would be best or if you have King Kallins (idk how 2 spell it) armor you could wear that and any type of race could wear them.

Dragon Age Origins: What happens if a character dies in battle?

Does it screw up the plot? Can they be revived?Dragon Age Origins: What happens if a character dies in battle?
They get an injury when they get back up after the battle. The injury is some lasting effect that can only be healed with certain spells, or one of the injury kits.
Nothing happens. If you die in combat you will revive affter the battle is over. If all of the party members die you will just realaod from you last save. It will not affect anything.Dragon Age Origins: What happens if a character dies in battle?
As soon as the battle ends they come right back. You don't even have to use any items or spend any gold or do anything really, except win the battle. As soon as there are no enemies left to kill then they will just come back as if nothing ever happened.
Once you beat the battle, they are revived. They will have some sort of penalty, but these will go away over time or with the use of certain items and spells. The penalty is not initially very bad, but will get worse and harder to remove each time the character dies.Dragon Age Origins: What happens if a character dies in battle?
after the fight they stand up and have an injury that makes them a weaker fighter. buy an injury kit and heal them and move on.
No when you die your character is removed from the battle. After the battle the character(s) is revived and has an injury (e.g. Bleeding, cracked skull, broken bone, open wound). these can be cured by spell, returning to camp or injury kits

lesser injury kits heal one injury, injury kits heal two and greater injury kit heals three.

just don't let your whole party die at once.

What's the best race/class/background character to play in Dragon Age Origins?

There isnt necessarily a "best". Mages are fun to play, after that id say a Warrior. And Dwarf Noble was pretty good. What's the best race/class/background character to play in Dragon Age Origins?
Mages are the most versatile, and with the right specialization and skill setup can do sword and shield casting. Arcane Warrior is a ton of fun, but you don't get that spec until you unlock it at least once in the game.

I had a lot of fun as a human rogue though. I set up for dual wielding damage and went to town. The fun thing about DAO is that you got to experience most every class through your companions on a single play through. On a second play through I set up Wynne as a mage killer, and most magic users she could kill outright in the first round of battle. THAT was fun! What's the best race/class/background character to play in Dragon Age Origins?
Definitely my Human Noble Warrior. I just got so emotionally invested in her journey after all she went through in the beginning. Killing Howe was so elating! I was beaming for practically the rest of the day after wards. Plus you get the royal happily ever after with King Alistair ;).What's the best race/class/background character to play in Dragon Age Origins?
Mages provide the most "fun". But if you're talking about skills and all that stuff - they are all balanced/equal. I prefer Mages because you can do more stuff - a bunch of skills, spells, combos, etc.
Personal preference, really. I really enjoyed being a mage. :) good luck!

Dragon Age Origins pro, help me leveling up my characters.?

I think my characters are so weak. They almost get killed by one fireball. I mean all 4 of my members are about to die after a single fire ball strike. Plus they are on the ground being attacked. But when I'm lucky, I get to beat them without anybody down. This game is like Max payne. I have to save it everytime before a fight and load until I get to be lucky. Is this normal or is my constitution so low ?

My 2mage and rogue's life is about 140~160 My warrior is 250 life.Dragon Age Origins pro, help me leveling up my characters.?
Shiro has given you some really good advice there. I wanted to add/reiterate some things...

You might try 2 warrior w/1 mage 1 rogue. Make sure you're maximizing abilities like threaten/taunt with those warriors (and they have the heaviest/most protective armor possible on). This will focus attention away from your squishy mage, who you really need to keep alive.

Also, make sure if you do this your mage has at least some basic healing spells. Also make the most of herbalism to stock up on healing and lyrium pots and spam the hell out of them if you have to. There's unlimited elfroot, flasks, etc at various vendors, and gold shouldn't be an issue as long as your taking the time to do sidequests and sell unused loot.

You can also stick with 2 mages, 1 warrior 1 rogue, and turn one of your mages into an arcane warrior. You can read many accounts online about how a well built arcane warrior can solo the entire game on the hardest difficulty setting. Try a simple google search for "Dragon Age Arcane Warrior build" to find guides for this.

The only class you should be pumping points into constitution is warrior. Rogues' constitution MIGHT make it into the 20's depending on how your building them, and I'd ALMOST recommend not putting a single point into constitution for your mages, the exception being for some arcane warrior and/or Blood Mage builds. Mages are just so ridiculously weak physically that there's no reason to try to avoid this reality by wasting points in constitution. They exist to deal MASSIVE amounts of damage, to kill quickly and unfortunately sometimes be killed quickly. Again let me say this might not always be the case with arcane warriors and some blood mages. A good tank (warrior) will have constitution well into the 30's and even 40's (by the end of the game), with strength at about the same level (I usually make my warriors have higher strength than constitution, but generally not by too much) and occasionally drop a point into dexterity to make sure they're not missing with every swing of the sword :)

Finally, if you're really having trouble, try 2 mages and 2 warriors, or even 3 mages 1 warrior (assuming your PC is a mage). I find rogues don't do much more damage than a warrior and aren't any better at crowd control than the warrior or mage. Their only real purpose that I could find was traps and chests. Well if you really think about it most locked chests don't have anything of real value, and traps might be a pain in the butt, but a strong tank and a healing spell will allow you to survive any traps thrown your way. If the locked chests drive you nuts, go back with a rogue and open them after you finish the dungeon.

One last thing, opponents are naturally attracted to heavier armor. Make sure you have the heaviest armor possible on your tanks (this includes your possible Arcane Warrior). Don't be tempted to put that chain mail on a rogue or mage (assuming they have enough strength - despite the fatigue limitations), as this may cause more harm than good in the long run.

Anyway, I've "talked" your ear off. Feel free to contact me if you want more help, but hopefully this and the other posters' advice will get you started. Don't give up!!!!Dragon Age Origins pro, help me leveling up my characters.?
    Some general tips:

    (1) A 2 mage, 1 rogue, 1 warrior party is often considered best; but it depends on how you build each character. In this case, the warrior should be a pure tank.

    (2) Learn which stats to raise (and how far) and which you can ignore; the same goes for spells and skills.

    (3) Tactics: Learn how to set up tactics for maximum effect. For instance: set up each character to use a health potion every time their health drops below 25%; set mages to use Stone Fist on frozen targets, use lyrium potion when mana drops below 10%, and to heal party members with health below 50%

    (4) When setting up tactics, remember to also change the character's behavior from Default to Aggressive (for melee characters), and Ranged (for archers and mages)

    (5) Micromanage: Pause a lot to maximize each party member's usefulness. e.g.: When using a melee-rogue, always position them to attack enemies from the rear; Pause when about to use AoE spells, etc.

    (6) Lower the difficulty setting; at least until you get the hang on how to handle difficult battles.

If you need more detailed tips, it might be helpful to mention your party's composition: what class your character is, who you bring with you, how you've built up each character, how you've set up tactics, equipment, and how far you've progressed.

Dragon Age - If I make a new character for awakening can I go back and play origins with that character?

When I was a noob I made a warrior and focused on sword and shield, which completely restricts use of warrior companions. I'd like to be a mage in awakening, but then I'd want to get that mage more xp in origins.Dragon Age - If I make a new character for awakening can I go back and play origins with that character?
You wouldn't be able to go back on Origins and play this character.

The whole point in Awakening is to carry on from your Origins story.

(:Dragon Age - If I make a new character for awakening can I go back and play origins with that character?
    No.

Awakening occurs AFTER Origins in the timeline.

In Awakening the blight is over, and a new King/Queen rules Ferelden. In fact, YOU are not from Ferelden, since Alistair and the PC were the last Ferelden wardens. You start as an Orlesian warden arrived after the blight.

In Origins the blight has just begun, there are only two Grey Wardens, you and Alistair. Your actions will determine if he becomes King, or dies, or not. You might even survive the final battle yourself and go on to play the only full-time Fereden grey warden in Awakenings until you recruit more.Dragon Age - If I make a new character for awakening can I go back and play origins with that character?
You would have to go back and create your character in Origins, can't take a character from Awakening and go to Origins, since Awakening is further down the time line from Origins.

Edit: You can use the character from Origins in Awakening as long as he/she survived the blight.
I'm not really sure what your question is. Do you want a character to have a lot of experience points (levels)? Is that why you want to switch them back after playing Awakening? If THIS is your question, then that's rather simple. You don't need to worry about experience. There are a few tricks (not really exploits) you can take advantage of in Origins that will help you level fast (and can make you money too!). (SPOILERS BEWARE)
Trick 1: The first one only requires that you have 1 character with the trap skill. When you are in Lothering, before finishing one of the main quests, talk to Allison who is located near the bridge just west of the Tavern. She gives you a trap quest. You need to buy 3 trap triggers (7.8 silver cost total) and she will reward you with 100 experience (as well as 50 silver) for doing the quest. If you talk to her again, she will thank you for helping her with traps. If you talk to her yet again, then you can get that quest over, and from here on you can keep bringing her traps to turn in for experience. This ONLY works before Lothering is destroyed by darkspawn. If your question is more about how to get your mage experience, this is the way to go. I've left Lothering with characters at level 20 and haven't even begun playing the game XD. Be forewarned, doing this makes the game a lot harder, too, as the creatures also level with the character.
On a side note, doing this quest enough will get you cash to buy some of the runes, books, and other items the camp merchant sells. Once you leave the camp the first time, his inventory resets--so if you bought those rare books from him the first time, they will be once again made available.
Trick 2: Get one of your mages (Morrigan is probably the easiest) to level 4 herbalism and make tons of potent lyrium potions and sell for a profit, then donate 30 gold at a time to the allied supply crates for the Redcliffe soldiers in camp after you finish the Arl of Redcliffe quest.
As far as reverting characters, you are unable to revert characters in Awakening back to Origins.

  • Alistair in Dragon Age Origins - Awakening?

    Where is he?

I have a female mage and she is an elf.

    - She was in a romance with Alistair

    - He didn't become king, nor did he die when fighting the archdemon.

    - I found Oghren, but not Alistair. He was my most favorite character in Dragon Age Origins, and it would be a shame if he wasn't in Awakening.Alistair in Dragon Age Origins - Awakening?
Alistair doesn't come back in Awakening as a companion. Since you didn't make him king you won't see his cameo, but your romance will be mentioned in the epilogue.

If you play DA2 and import this save you will see a cameo of him as a warden.Alistair in Dragon Age Origins - Awakening?
He only appears for a short while if you made him king. After you save the seneschal, he arrives and tells you what to do. If you didn't make him king, then you get Anora.

Question about Dragon Age Origins and the different character campaigns...?

I have played through the gnome campaign, I am curious about the other races. I understand they are different starting out, but is the over arching story about the same? Is it even worth playing through the other character campaigns?

Thanks for your input.Question about Dragon Age Origins and the different character campaigns...?
You mean Dwarf. Which Dwarf origin story there are 2.

As far the rest: The only real difference between the races is their origin story. The rest of the game (just before the battle of Ostagar) is more or less the same. The only differences are slight variations in conversations with some NPC's and party members.

Whether it's worth replaying is really up to you, there are several story archs, not race specific but choice specific. I've played through this at least 10 times and seen every possible angle.

Dragon Age: Awakening will your character still love Alistair?

This has been my main question when I found out about Dragon Age Awakening like I know you have to import your character and all that good jazz but in DAO I made my character like Alistair and it would be a bit akward if I imported her and they didnt have feelings etc etc =/ Anyways, if you have any info or anything in relation to it please do share :) Thanks in advance!!Dragon Age: Awakening will your character still love Alistair?
You know I've been wondering this myself, in my epilogue after I defeated the archdemon..

    *spoiler*

I had my female human noble become queen with alistair being king.

So I thought to myself, Bioware had to have some dialogue and part of the expansion relate to if your female character had a romance with alistair

I don't know for certain, but let's hope an imported female character still maintains a romance with alistair, surely it should, especially if it was in your final epilogue that you were with Alistair.

otherwise, then yes, it would be a bit awkward haha

    **EDIT

Also, alot of people think he won't be playable because he's a king and has king duties. But I've played around with different endings, and one of them is him still being king, but remaining with you, his love, to leave court and rebuild the grey wardens. So I think it would make sense that if he's a playable character, he's still king and a grey warden so maybe he will fulfill his grey warden duties. Also, keep in mind that Bioware said that the expansion will be affected by the decisions made in DAO. So let's cross our fingers and hope :)
While they have said that there would be a secret playable character in the expansion. I'm more for assuming that the character will be Morrigan because even after the first game came out they mentioned that you're character would seek out Morrigan and that she would become a major character later.

If you made Alistair king then he will be in awakening. but only for five seconds (you do kiss though)

if your charicters were in love then in the epologe of awakening says you run off together and possible have an adventure (i am guessing this is a hint for how the next game is gonna go.)

I know how you feel! TT__TT i was so happy at 1st when i learned alistair will be in dragon age awakening... But we are not even sure if he's playable yet. He can just be a non-playable NPC because Bioware said you would have only 1 "secret" party member from origins. And since alistair was in the game trailer i'm not sure if he is the "secret" party member Bioware was talking about. And i would be really sad (And a lot of fan girls xD) if alistair acts like nothing happened between our PCs because (i got the queen ending) D: Let's just cross our fingers and hope! *__* Bioware be kind to us fan girls~ xD

I've found the character files for Dragon Age, Origins. If I want to continue playing my character (and their quests/party status), is it as simple as emailing myself these files then pasting them into the appropriate place? Thanks. Best character to play as in Dragon Age: Origins?

whats the best and most fun character to play as in dragon age origins? Any tips and suggestions would be great!Best character to play as in Dragon Age: Origins?
It really depends on your style. However, keep in mind that throughout the game you gain party members of different races and classes so you DO get to play all the classes. I had a human noble warrior for my main character and I loved her but I spent a lot of time on Morrigan throughout that play through as well. So I thought I liked mages but then I made a mage and found their lack of tanking abilities frustrating. It was a lot easier with my main warrior and Alistair both being able to tank.

I can't say anything for rogues since I haven't played one as a main but I had Leliana with my party at all times and although her stealing (I went nuts with stealing...stole from everyone =X) and lock picking abilities were helpful, she was usually the first to go down in a fight.

If it's your first play through, then I would go for a warrior type just because it will be a bit easier. Mages need a LOT of direction and you need to move them around a lot and use a LOT of spells so having a mage main and Morrigan in your party can be a bit difficult at times. But that's just me. As I said from the get go, it's really what YOU prefer. All I can offer is my opinion.Best character to play as in Dragon Age: Origins?
One is not better than the others...you should pick a class dependant on your style of play.

If you like up close and personal, pick a fighter. If you like to sit back and attack while your tanks?fighters are engaging the enemy, pick a rogue...or if you like staying well out of rang of the swords or you like supporting your team mates, pick mage/healer class...Best character to play as in Dragon Age: Origins?
warrior! do you want to be a mile away sitting on your *** shooting fire at someone when you could be up close in the action hitting them head on? plus when your up close with a sword your player gets covered in blood and looks awesome!
There is no best type to play they all rock! You should just pick whatever one suits your play-style

There are tanks, m锚l茅e, and casters. Each of those have sub categories too. whatever turns ya on heh

Dragon Age II Transfer Character Question?

So I previously play Dragon Age on X360 but I really would prefer to get the game for PS3. What exactly transfers over from the save file in Dragon Age?Dragon Age II Transfer Character Question?
Mass Effect Genesis (the interactive comic) only came about because ME1 wasn't for the PS3; since Dragon Age Origins was for the PS3, it's unlikely that Bioware would do anything like that this time. As for what transfers over, all that Bioware has said is that your choices in DAO (and all of its expansions) could be moved into DA2, your character obviously wouldn't since DA2 involves Hawke rather than the characters from DAO, but I wouldn't be surprised if Bioware may have sneaked in a view of the DAO characters perhaps.

Edit: You could at least try to answer the question as well.

Edit 2: DA2 takes place during and after DAO, starting around the attack on Lothering and extending to over 10 years long.Dragon Age II Transfer Character Question?
Likely nothing, since Dragon Age 2 takes place prior to Origins.

  • Dragon Age: Origins character stands weird?

    Hi,

When I'm on Dragon Age: Origins (Ultimate Edition, Steam), whenever my character (the main one) doesn't have a weapon equipped, he holds his hands out in front of him. It's kinda annoying me because he does it in cutscenes as well.

I've checked the Options/Controls and haven't found any controls that could undo this.

Help!!!Dragon Age: Origins character stands weird?
Try unequipping all your armour and weapon(s) and re-equip, and it should be fine.

If not, try saving, and quitting and then reloading. This always worked for me (:Dragon Age: Origins character stands weird?
this is honestly just a glitch or a bug you found. i had a similar problem in fable to where my person just glided. normally these problems will tend to fix itself out but if you really are annoyed with it. just put a weapon on and it prprobably will fix it. or wait it out. last thing you could do is save your game and turn your xbox or ps3 off and turn it back on. normally works for meDragon Age: Origins character stands weird?

Basically, I am trying to get into Morrigan's pants and I want to know her approval rating. How do I check character's approval rating in Dragon Age: Origins?
Well if you have it for xbox at the party camp go to the menu where you change your armor and weapons and press the left and right buttons till you see Morigan then there is a bar at the bottom with a heart the closer it is to the white the closer you are to getting in her pants.

Which rogue character should i use in Dragon Age 2?

    My team is

Hawke-Mage (elemental magic, force, and healing)

Merrill-mage (rock/lighting magic, spirite, and her special tree)

    Fenris-close up attacker-two handed weapon

Now my question is tht my rogue is gonna be a archer so that leaves Vaaric or Sebestian. WHich is the better choice?

Please give me an explanation for ur choice thanks.Which rogue character should i use in Dragon Age 2?
Both are powerful, but Varric has the edge. His abilities are just slightly more useful than Sebastian. Varric also has more to add to the story. But, you can give Sebastian any bow in the game. If you are the kind of player who pays attention to enemies weaknesses Sebastian may be a better choice. you can swap out his weapon as needed unlike Varric who only uses Bianca.

After completing the story, can i keep playing with my character on dragon age?

nope as your character has to die to kill the dragon

(Major Spoilers) What happens on dragon age awakening with your character?

So ye cause my character died on origins at the end so does that mean he gets resurected somehow or do I need to start again or does he get imported and he actually doesnt die in lore?(Major Spoilers) What happens on dragon age awakening with your character?
If you import the epilogue save of a dead warden, Awakening will continue as if you had never died. This will not be explained and nobody will react differently to you, they just waived the ultimate sacrifice for the expansion. All of your decisions will still apply except your death.(Major Spoilers) What happens on dragon age awakening with your character?
No, you get a new character, a Gray Warden from outside the land that the game takes place in. You may be treated with some distrust since the new character comes from a land that was involved in the war against the land though.

But, I've never seen someone to a dwarf archer before. I'm not sure it matters which beginning thing you choose since you can level up your character on your own. Only thing for sure is mage stuff is for mages but i doubt you'd be putting magic on an archer.

Dragon Age Origins: What is the best character to tackle the game with?

I haven't got the game yet but I will be. I've heard there's a wide variety of customization at the start and I heard it's a long game. I'm just wondering what best class, race and other options to make it easy.Dragon Age Origins: What is the best character to tackle the game with?
As with all RPG's, choosing your class depends mostly on the style of gameplay you prefer. In terms of how powerful each class is, there is an overall balance somewhat, but, at least as far as I've played, the mage class is pretty brutal. However, it becomes apparent that a lot of the mage's abilities are hindered on any difficulty above easy (for the PC version that is, since friendly fire doesn't occur on the console versions of the game). A mage with an arcane warrior/blood mage dual spec is both resilient and damage-dealing, making it a very versatile class.

Just as well, a warrior with dual wield with berserker/templar (champion) specializations works for itself very good.

A rogue with an assassin/duelist specializations slices and dices very well and can effectively crowd control most enemies (except bosses).

In terms of race/class combos, in the end it all depends what physical aspect you prefer and what origin story appeals to you. The differences in bonuses are not so relevant but if you were to go by those I'd say the following work best:

    Warrior/Dwarf

    Rogue/Human

    Mage/Elf

    As general tips:

    Warrior:

    - If you plan on being the tank, max out weapon and shield skills, and punch up a lot of constitution early on, then focus on strength. I recommend Templar/Champion spec.

-If you plan on dual-wielding, it's a little more tricky, as you'll have to crunch some points into dexterity until level 12 when you can use 2 large weapons in each hand (until then you can only use daggers in off hand and their damage depends on depends on dexterity). I recommend Champion/Berserker or Berserker/Reaver.

-Two-handed weapons just need a lot of strength to master, and you can sacrifice some constitution, so long as you don't wear very heavy armor (your enemies tend to be more aggressive toward more heavily armored opponents, something which you should keep in mind if you want to tank as well). Berserker/Reaver is what I recommend.

    Rogue:

-If you specialize in dual-wield and not archery then you need both dexterity and cunning for damage and ability effectiveness respectively. I recommend Duelist/Assassin spec.

-Archery specialization requires much of the same attributes, since cunning also affects armor penetration which is useful for both specs. I recommend Range/Duelist or Ranger/Bard.

    Mage:

Your main attributes will be magic and willpower so try and maintain a balance between them. In terms of which tree of skills to choose, I found a mix between Primal and Entropy to be a good mix between damage and resilience. Also, spend one point in the heal ability since it will be worth a bunch.

Possible combinations depend on your play style so I'll list them with a slight description

Arcane Warrior/Spirit Healer (endurance given by both powerful heals and the ability to wear heavy armor)

Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage (versatile combo, both resilient and higly damaging through the Blood Wound Ability.

Hope this helps and I hope you enjoy Dragon Age as much as I did :)

What is the best type of character to be in Dragon Age Origins?

Like mage, warriorWhat is the best type of character to be in Dragon Age Origins?
Mages are arguably the most powerful class in the game. I also think they are the most fun to play. If you choose the right spells and combos, you are pretty much unstoppable. Elves have some racial bonuses and make the best mages.

Rogues are my second favorite. They are just more interesting to play than warriors. Warriors are pretty boring and don't take much thought. What is the best type of character to be in Dragon Age Origins?
I think rogues are the best because you get to earn extra points just for opening locks and fixing traps and stuff and it's super fun backstabbing but mages are nice too just don't make a stupid mistake and put all your attribute points on constitution like I did. Focus on magic and willpower then it'll be fun cause you'd be SUPER STRONG. :))What is the best type of character to be in Dragon Age Origins?

How do i stop my character in dragon age from constantly being on fire, even in cutscenes?

If one of your mages has the "flaming weapons" spell on, then try going into the tactics screen and turning it off. If this is not the case, then it's probably a bug. If you were on fire as a result of a fight then it would go away fairly quickly after the fight is over and shouldn't carry into cutscenes, etc. If you have a bug you may need to restart the character :( If that doesn't work I suggest you contact the technical support team and see what they can do for you. Should I buy Mass Effect for 20 dollars or Dragon Age new?

I'm not as worried about the price, but it sounds to me like Mass Effect might be the better game, even though it's two years old. Everything I've read says Dragon Age's graphics look pretty dated anyway, so it doesn't sound like much of a technical evolution over Mass Effect. Add in the fact that Mass Effect characters can be continued in the imminent sequel and I am leaning towards buying the cheaper game. Any thoughts? Can anyone convince why Dragon Age might be the better play?Should I buy Mass Effect for 20 dollars or Dragon Age new?
Get Mass Effect. I normally never would have bought a shooter-rpg, an a whim decided to anyway, and it is one of the best games i've ever played. You'll finish it in a week. It's not that short, but you won't be able to pull yourself away from the screen. Seriously. And if you end up enjoying it as much as most people, the second one comes out on Feb 2! Plus, you can always get DA when it becomes cheaper in a few months and after you beat Mass Effect.
Mass Effect is a wonderful game, if your into RPG's, but it certainly depends on the time you have on your hands... Mass Effect is time consuming and addicting :)Should I buy Mass Effect for 20 dollars or Dragon Age new?
mass effect and dragon age are basically the exact same game but one is set in space and one is set in medieval times

i do think mass effect has slightly better graphic though but nothing to write home about

i like dragon age alot more;however, because i like alot of the mage spells and skills

perhaps i chose the "wrong" character class in mass effect (half engineer, half psychic powers, or whatever its called) and my person sucks, so weak..they cant kill anything, the aiming is terrible, i dont like the combat one bit in mass effect and although its a RPG at its core is still a "shooter" and the shooting mechanics suck, just my opnion though

be prepared, both games are like 90% listening to boring dialogue and asking boring questions, watching boring cutscreens..also, most of the "action"/missions are running errands for people and stuff, boring

the main reason i will play dragon age a little longer is that i JUST got my dog and i love him alot
dragon age has better graphics imo and its a better game.Should I buy Mass Effect for 20 dollars or Dragon Age new?
They are both teriffic games. Mass effect is at heart a mesh of a RPG and a squad based shooter. Not a terribly tactical shooter, but you do run around shooting things with 2 sidekicks.

Dragon Age is more of a classic RPG in the vein of Baldurs gate or Neverwinter nights. Actually the interface is a LOT like Neverwinter Nights.

    So pick your poison.

Both have decent plots, character interaction, and are up to the quality standards of Bioware (Which with a few exceptions have always been pretty damn high.) Production values are about the same. Sysytem requirements are the same (As these games need to be playable on an Xbox 360)

Of the two? I'd go Mass effect. First it is slightly cheaper, and second it has "Don't panic" in large friendly letters on the cover. Actually it doesn't, but Mass effect has IMHO much more memorable characters, and as you said the sequal is about to be released,

no, you can transfer your origins character at any point in time, but word of the wise...beat origins with your character first that way u can start awakening as the lvl ur character is when u beat the game instead of starting an new character at lvl 1....make sure u stock up on health an better weapons...like the starfang at wardens keep an put them in the chest so they can carry over into awakening. u can go past lvl 20 in origins but requires almost everything complete an it is possible if u carry ur character over to awakening to reach lvl 35.(awakening-blackmarsh-has best armor in game-collect the dragon bones, kill the dragon find all the chest.Do you have to have beaten Dragon Age Orgins to transfer your character to Awakening?
Nope, you can transfer an unfinished character, and the game will automatically make choices for you. But I would suggest finishing the game before you go on to Awakening. I don't have Wynne and I can't go back to get her, i killed her.

I don't have Leliana, I never found her

I don't have Sten cause I never freed him from his cage

Doing the math, that leaves me with five characters: mine, Alistair, the dwarf, my dog, and Morrigan and Morrigan won't come on this mission

How can I beat her??How do I beat Flemeth (Dragon Age)?
Geez, it sounds like this playthrough is going terrible for you.

What class did you pick? Warrior, Mage, Rogue?

This fight is most easily done by having Shale (the DLC Golem) equipped with fire crystals and tanking her. But seeing as you don't have Shale, or anyone, this is going to be a very difficult fight for you. Actually, I don't see how you could possibly do this fight legitimately without even a healer (Unless your Elf is a healer.)

Your best bet would be to have Alistair aggro her with taunt preferably, and run away. If I remember correctly, Flemeth can't leave the perch she stands on and will use fire attacks. Her fire hurts but not as bad as it would if you were standing right in front of her and dealing with her pounding on you. While Alistair has her aggro, position your party members by her sides (not behind her as not to get tail swept) and take her down this way. This will take you awhile as you don't want to overaggro Alistair's threat with taunt.

Can I create my own character on Dragon Age:origins?

ok i do not have x box live and i don't plan to get it but I need to know can I create my own character is the creator on the game already? (If you ask why i don't know this if you have the game its because i'mplanning on buying it i do not have it yetCan I create my own character on Dragon Age:origins?
The character creator is also included in the final copy of the game. You don't need to download the character creator they released earlier. They just released the character creator separately to build up the hype, I think. Can I create my own character on Dragon Age:origins?
Yes, you create your own character. They can be human, city elf, wood elf, or Dwarven. You can be a fighter, magician, etc. You can tune your attributes. You can adjust your looks, hairstyle, skin color, tattoos, etc. It's a great game, very customizable.

  • Can I edit my Dragon Age 2 character's appearance?

I made my new character, and I just now realized her eyebrows are a different color than her hair and it's driving me CRAZY. I don't know what to do. Is there anyway to fix this? I know in DA:O there's the toolset, but how would I do it without it? I made a new character with the eyebrows right, if that helps at all. Can I import my character from Dragon Age 2 into a second playthrough?

All I keep hearing about is whether or not you can import your character from Dragon Age: Origins into the gameplay of Dragon Age 2. We all know by now that this is not possible. But what I want to know is whether or not you can import your character from a previous playthrough to start a new one, thus bypassing the arduous process of character specs.

Such as it is for Mass Effect 2, you can use the same Shepard character through several playthroughs and that can get you some good bonuses. But I see no such way to "Carry over" in the same way in Dragon Age 2. Please help! This is frustrating. Can I import my character from Dragon Age 2 into a second playthrough?
No, DA2 doesn't have that option. If you play on the PC it's possible you can find a mod that might let you do this. Otherwise you will just have to start over.

    Dragon Age 2 Attribute Redistribution?

i chose a Mage as my character for dragon age 2 and I was disappointed to figure out that arcane warrior would not be reappearing...I I've been putting points into str and const so that could take the "battle mage" approach...I, however, realize that this will not work out week for me, because I will never reach mastery in certain skills...is there any way to redistribute points or should I restart?Dragon Age 2 Attribute Redistribution?
YES! You can redistibute, go to the black emporium and there is this item you can buy that costs 1 gold and it lets you redistribute your points.Dragon Age 2 Attribute Redistribution?
Ive tried, no way to redistribute, start a new game so you dont waste time (and btw Magic is the Mages strength, not Strength)

In dragon age origins if i unlock a specialization in one character does it go to another?

i.e. if i unlock blood mage on my rogue. when i make a mage will the specializations i unlocked on my rogue go to my mage or any other future characters? In dragon age origins if i unlock a specialization in one character does it go to another?
well you can add that specialization to that mage or it doesn't matter which character as long as be a mage but it's only valid for one gameplay when you want to make another character and start a new game play then you need to do that from the beginning again but unlocked specialization is still available once you got it all you have to do is just select the specialization powers that's the only thing restart. In dragon age origins if i unlock a specialization in one character does it go to another?
Yes, you only need to unlock a specialization once and you can use it for any future characters.

  • Changing Marian Hawke's name from Dragon Age 2?

    Hi guys!

I'm here because I'm a complete idiot and while creating my female character for Dragon Age 2, I completely forgot to change her first name, so I'm stuck with Marian (which I don't like at all). I played for about 2 hours and really love the way I customized my character, so I would hate to start all over again.

My question was if any of you knew a way to change her first name.

I've already tried going to Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age 2/Characters/ and changed the name of every single file that said Marian for the name I wanted.

I also went inside the XML files and changed the part where it said Name="Marian" (and every other part inside the file where it said Marian) to Eli.

I gotta say I'm a complete noob and have no real idea of what I'm doing so, a little bit of detailed intruction would be greatly appreciated.

I will give a fav answer to the person who helps me solve this first.

Thanks a lot for your help guys!Changing Marian Hawke's name from Dragon Age 2?
What's wrong with the name Marian? :P

But seriously, if you've already tried renaming the character files maybe you need to rename the save game files as well (or at least the save game folder)? Not sure if that would help but might be worth a shot.

Dragon Age Origins Character Design Help!!!?

Hey, I just recently got Dragon Age Origins, which I was really excited about, but now I'm just about ready to start tearing my hair out because, AND I HAVEN'T EVEN BEGUN TO ACTUALLY PLAY THE GAME!

My problem is I can't design a good looking character to save my life, all my characters end up looking like disproportionate inhuman freaks. There are just so many goddamn sliders I can't keep track of it!

Is there any guide or something you can give to help me?Dragon Age Origins Character Design Help!!!?
Human males (Warriors %26amp; Roughes) with short hair %26amp; small stubble look pretty good to me , look for one of the presetts with the short hair

As for the charcters vioce i think they all sound a **** so it doesnt really matter but the one least annoying would be the Experienced vioce

I think dwarves are easy to design as they all look the same if you give them long hair %26amp; a long beard

I wouldnt worry to much as you could always hide them with a helmet later in the game lmao

But if you really must create a decent looking charcter go with a human warrior with short hair

I wouldnt let it get you down to much just enjoy the fantastic game that awaits you

Just abit of bonus advice ... When you begin to play the game dont be put off by the combat system %26amp; gameplay

The easiest thing to do is to choose a preset face that is close to what you want your character to look like. Then only change the sliders for things you want to make different, leave everything else where it is.

I'm new to this game, I just had it yesterday. Can you guys give me some Idea on which character shall I build? What's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?
The mage is very powerful with a lot of spells. The rogue has some good abilities. The warrior is straight forward get a big weapon and smash everything. I finished with the rogue, found the warrior boring, and the mage good. They claim that the race and sex affect the game but not really. There are a few times that it gives slightly different dialogue but nothing that really changes the situation or game. What's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?
well it depends on what you like in real life and how you biult your guy in all other rpg games rogues arnt good fighters but they can be if you take the time to upgrade em they arnt good with heavy weps though and you have a stealth ability to let you sneak up on em and back stab em on the other hand warriors are great with heavy weps and armor and they have alot power behind em and if you just like charging in battle thats good i personaly hate mages in the game cause they always kill me but they are a good character to play they can weaken enimies hela yopur party shape shift into animals but they arnt good with direct combat or health either so make your choiceWhat's the best character class and build for dragon age: origins?
a mage is the best. all the other classes are so weak and boring. mages are so overpowered in this game. any build with them is awsome.

Help! dragon age origins character creation?

okay so ive had dragon age origins for a while on xbox 360...i constantly remake my character because im not happy with the way it looks...i can make a very nice looking character when im not trying to make myself...but when i try to make myself, im not happy with it...okay so heres my problem...im happy with my skin color, hair, nose, mouth, ears, eyes...the only thing im not happy with is the structure of my face...i look at alistair, morrigan, and the rest and their faces look normal, but when i make a character the chin is always to big, the face is too long, and the cheeks are too fat(no matter what setting i put it on).....DOES anyone have any ideas on how to make my characters look normal? any tipps????

ps. ive gotten all the way to the landsmeet and fdeleted my character because i wasnt happy with itHelp! dragon age origins character creation?
The best thing to do is to choose one of the preset heads that is close to what you want and don't change too much on it. It's very easy to mess up proportions if you are adjusting every single slider. The character creator has limits, you aren't going to get your character to look exactly like any one person or the vision you have in your head. Just try to get it as close as possible and not let the imperfections get to you.

If you like one of the NPC heads, you can download most of them as presets to base your own character off of at dragon age nexus.Help! dragon age origins character creation?

How to leave with Sten in Dragon Age Origins?

On the Dragon Age wikia, it says that it's possible to travel with Sten to Seheron end-game. Is there anything I need to do other than assure his approval is all the way up and that I get him his sword Asala? Do I need to avoid high approval/romances with other characters or have to do certain quests in specific ways? etc. :)

Thanks. How to leave with Sten in Dragon Age Origins?
At the end of the game if you survive you get to talk to all of your party members before the epilogue. If Sten is at high approval you can talk to him about going to Seheron. I think you can't be in a romance with anyone or have made yourself king/queen. These choices will override him.

If you play Awakening or even import that save in to DA2 any relationship you had with Sten isn't acknowledged at all. This choice doesn't really have any long term payoff.

What character should I start on dragon age 2?

Not like it really matters, but should I pick a warrior, rouge or a mage?

Lol so, what do you people think? What character should I start on dragon age 2?
Rogue. I've played rogue ever since the second time I played DA, went straight for rogue in the DA2 demo and will continue to rogue when I get the game this month. Lock picking is a life skill to always have on hand. Plus they are fast, are great with two blades in close combat (and lets face it that's cool in itself) but are just as adept with bows should the battle become long-range, so they are a good all-rounder.

Mages are just soft and squishy, normally turning into a nasty red stain on the floor the minute they get breathed on in close-combat. I personally like to be in the thick of battle, not on the side-lines hiding behind the boulder whilst taking cheap-shots and hoping not to be discovered.

Warriors are powerful but their speed is sacrificed for brute strength which normally means they suck at evasion. That means you need to focus on their HP and defense more since they will be taking hits... that means they normally have less accuracy and miss a whole lot more than the other classes. I want my main character to be the hero striking the killing blows; not merely the tank.

Also, their lack of accuracy means they are not normally that hot if you stick a long-range weapon in their hands. What character should I start on dragon age 2?
Warrior is used to deal a good amount of damage while soaking up some damage as well. While Mages and rogues get into position to fight take down your foes take the heat off them with your warrior and deal some damage in the meantime.

Rogue ability's help defeat your enemy quick and effectively, they can open up weak spots for other companions to take advantage of. While a warrior is soaking damage from an enemy get and back of your enemy with a steal rogue to increase damage and use special ability's to open up weak spots for the rest of your party.

Mages can deal a load of damage, Use spells beneficial to companions like healing, and have an array of area spells. While your warriors are soaking the damage and your rogues are getting back stab damage and opening up your enemy's weak points, use the mage to unleash powerful spells and heal your allies.

I would start the game with a warrior because they don't go down as easy an can deal a good amount of damage in return. What character should I start on dragon age 2?
In RPGs I tend to go for a mix of magic and warrior classes. In DAO, I went rogue. It was hands down the most fun to play. So, I went rogue again in DA2.

There is a lot of overlapping classes in DA2, but in truth, there is going to be a different way to play the different characters based on how you level them up. In the end, I know I will do a dual wield rogue, and have played Duelist since first getting the skill from Isabella in DAO.

I will probably go mage in my second replay and warrior in my third.

What do you expect to see in Dragon age III?

I'm not a huge game embracing person, but for Christmas, someone bought me Dragon Age Origins and I instantly became glued. I loved the characters/character development, the plot, the gameplay and especially how your choices changed the game. In the end, my character died and became a legend.

Anyway, when I was reading about Dragon Age Awakening and Dragon Age II, people all complained about the same things - less interesting characters; a linear choice path and an average plot.

The writer say that they're taking fan opinions on-board, so what will you hope to see in Dragon Age III?What do you expect to see in Dragon age III?

Is it me, or is Dragon Age II aesthetically uglier than Origins?

It may just be my personal preference, but I thought that the new art style that all the characters (their faces, in particular) in Dragon Age II adopted was just... ugly, especially when compared to Origins...

Is this just me?Is it me, or is Dragon Age II aesthetically uglier than Origins?
Unfortunately it isn't you. It is indeed uglier. For some reason they didn't put as much work into thee graphics as they did origins. Many reviews such as this one http://angryjoeshow.com/2011/03/dragon-age-ii-angry-review/ address this.
I have to disagree. The new art style was one of the best changes from Origins to DA II.

If you ask me, Origins looked generic and ugly whereas DA:II was vibrant and distinctive.

Not that the new art style excuses the dumbed down gameplay and the repetitive environments but it seems to me that you've picked on the one thing about DA: II that least deserves complaints. Is it me, or is Dragon Age II aesthetically uglier than Origins?
I think the character models are much better. People were pretty ugly in Origins, especially in certain lighting. I also like that elves don't just look like humans with pointy ears. But, I do think the environments were bland. There were some stunning areas in Origins, In DA2 everything is kind of brown and dirty looking.
DA2 should have been titled DA Rad, DA Extreme or DA Nitro. Is it me, or is Dragon Age II aesthetically uglier than Origins?
ur right it looks god awful. i say u sell it and get the elder scrolls IV oblivion

There isn't any NG+ option like Mass Effect. If you are on the PC though, it's possible you can find a mod for this. Otherwise, you could just play on normal for the regular battles to gain levels, and then put it up to nightmare for the boss fights.

It is additional down-loadable content that is available for you to buy to add on to the game as it is.

Some games came with free codes for some of the down-loadable content. Mine came with the dragon armor and the character Shale.

All i had to do was open up the down-loadable content screens and put the codes in and viola, there they were.

Okay, make the cheek slider full, no gaunt. While tweaking the cheek slider and the jaw slider be sure to alternate between the two often. Turn the chin down once. It is nearly impossible to achieve a perfectly round face, but you can at least get close with careful tuning.

PS: Yes it is lacking. There are actually more eye colors if you look closely and rotate the screen you will see hazel, and even a reddish eye color.

PSS: No, they don't use the same sliders that we use to make our characters.

    PSSS:I don't have that problem.

What is the best character to choose in Dragon Age 2?

Is a Mage, Rogue or Warrior the best choice to be?

Also how should I add attributes and what should I make them Two handed, spirit mage, etc...What is the best character to choose in Dragon Age 2?
I've played all possible combos and finished the game as a bladed rogue. I found that fit me the best they do a ton of attacks and good damage with some bit spikes. My second favorite is mage with 2handed warrior close behind. I think the game gears you more toward 2-handed warrior over sword and shield warrior but that's just me. Also i think mages and rogues have the most upside and possible damage. 2-handed warriors do good damage but they tend to get hit alot as well. and there damage is split amounts several people which is cool that they can hit more than 1 person with each swing. Mages just blow stuff up which is great i don't like healing though so i had to keep 2 mages in the group all the time. The game doesn't give you a good lock picking rogue as the dwarf is more archer and the prince is archer as well and you have to add alot of points in cunning to get that up. So I found that making your own rogue with high dex and cunning really helps. Rogues get a cool grenade stun and a teleport attack that launchs you at teh person which helps move you around the battle field well. they can also stealth in combat and leave a dumby that the bad guys attack while you can sneak up and backstab the dude. thats how you have to fight the arashok guy. What is the best character to choose in Dragon Age 2?
Neither is 'best'. Pick the one class you most want to play, and play it. Thanks to the companions you have, you can have a well balanced party no matter what role you choose to fill.

As for stat allocations, you can apply the "2 here, 1 here" approach relatively well. For example, my class in DA2 was a 2 handed warrior. Because my primary focus was dealing as much damage as possible, 2 handed warriors don't have too many damage dealing active abilities and have skills to regain stamina in chunks. So, I wanted each attack to hit as hard as possible. I focused on putting 2 in strength, 1 in willpower for the most part.

However, bear in mind that each class and spec requires you to at least split points up between 3 stats because of gear. If you pick up something you want to use, take a look at it's stat requirements and compensate for them next time you level. To use my 2 handed warrior example again, I needed to up my Constitution to equip better armors.

If anything you can always search online for class builds.

As for which class you choose, just choose the one you want to play.

Are you asking if you can import your awakening character back to origins? You can't, but you can import it in to some of the DLC such as Witch Hunt.

How to improve my character (warrior) stronger in Dragon age 2? I need help? ps3?

I want to make him stronger, I just started and just went to deliver the dragon's amulet.

I want to make my character stronger, where can I get a strong sword and cool looking strong armor? and what "tree" should I upgrade? help me out, give me some tips.

He is pretty weak right now.How to improve my character (warrior) stronger in Dragon age 2? I need help? ps3?
Gear you're basically going to come by when you come by it, the games rather linear in that respect so you'll just have to be patient and grab it when it arrives.

The skill trees I'd invest in are two-handed as your primary, with your specialty tree being Berserker, with extras in either Vanguard, Battlemaster, or both. Two-handed berserker will give you plenty of damage/speed, and you can either use Vanguard to push your damage to crazy heights, or battlemaster to give yourself much more stamina to work with.

The max number of points you can invest into skill trees playing through the entire game is miserably low though I'm afraid, my least favorite aspect of the game and one that drove me to cheat using the 'turn in random quest item over and over again' exploit. I don't like cheating in games, but this game is so long with so little access to different abilities without cheating that I felt compelled. This doesn't make the game -too- overly easy, as when you level yourself up this way the enemies level up with you.

How do you Harden a character in the game Dragon Age origins?

I've seen the word harden in forums and in videos on youtube and how people say it..but i don't understand what it means to harden someone like alistair or how exactly you do it

can someone tell meHow do you Harden a character in the game Dragon Age origins?
Patricia is right about Alistair, but you can also harden Leiliana. When you do her personal quest and visit Marjoline, she will talk to you afterward about it. If you tell her she's a natural killer and should embrace that part of herself, she will be less judgmental when you make "evil" choices. How do you Harden a character in the game Dragon Age origins?
In a quest with Alistair you help him find his sister. After you have found her and you're talking with Alistair there's is a option to say something like "Everyone is looking out for themselves. You should learn that.". If you choose that option, Alistair will be hardened, which will give you the option to marry him later if you're a female. There'll be some other changes too.

As far as i know Alistair is the only character you can harden.

In Dragon Age: Origins, is there anywhere I can go to train my characters, because I am kind of weak...?

I am only level 8, and I want to become a higher level because I keep dying in the middle of a battle, and leave all the fighting up to Morrigan, my mage. Is there anywhere that I can take my party so that I can level up a bit?In Dragon Age: Origins, is there anywhere I can go to train my characters, because I am kind of weak...?
yea first choice a easiest mission

the Dwarf missions are kinda hard specially kill the Jarvia gang leader

so I suggest you to first buy books from Merchants and improve your skills mean you can try some side missions because side missions are for improve your skills even some people ignore them.

    1) do side missions

    2) read books and improve skills

    3) unlock some special talents (like be a blood mage or campaign)

The site below has a glitch for leveling up...Why not give it a try:)

There are no "farming" spots. What I suggest doing is going and completing the Mage's Circle quest first and then coming back to Redcliff.

If you're still having trouble, do the Bracillean Forest quests (i.e. the Dalish).

This is what the site below said, and it also has more info on it as well.

I found the same thing happening when I played it the first time. It was always left up to the dog though lol.

You can use tactic slots to make you team work better together and make one of them for defense, attack etc.

But the only way to level up without fighting is to go around and unlock chests. Which gives you experience points but you need a rogue to do that. Which if your main character isn't a rogue you can recruit two more rogues throughout the game which are Leliana at Lothering or Zevran which you meet after you've done a certain part of the storyline. Hope this helps.
