How do I become friends with Morrigan? Dragon Age Origins?

With a male character. I think I've accidentally flirted with her at some points? But I haven't initiated anything. She's doing the whole 'Tis cold in my tent' thing, how can I just be friends for her? I've heard the ending is too depressing.
